Giclee fine art print illustrated by Abi Overland. The Aperol Spritz is my interpretation of the beautiful and classic vintage Art Deco cocktail print ads. The Aperol Spritz is an Italian aperitif, originally created in 1919 by bartender Raimondo Ricci. The drink was invented as a means to combat the heat and humidity of Italy’s summer months. It became popular among people who wanted something light to sip on before dinner. However, The Aperol Spritz cocktail appears to trace back to the 1800s in northeastern Italy's Veneta region when Austrian soldiers visiting Italian wine producers added water to make a drink lighter. Giclee fine art print using quality archival inks, printed on 300gsm paper.
